These one day courses are aimed at anyone wishing to undertake journeys on the sea using a kayak and wishing to improve the technical and theoretical knowledge of tides, navigation and pilotage etc. The course content also fulfils the pre-requirement for people wanting to undertake their British Canoeing (BCU) Sea Kayak Leader (4 Star) or Advanced Leader (5 Star) assessment.

The aim of the course is to provide you with the technical skills to plan and navigate effectively on open water in advanced sea conditions.
The courses will be delivered by Howard Jeffs a BCU Level 5, A5 Sea & Surf coach, as well as the author of “A Practical Guide to Sea Kayaking” & the designer of the “Sea Kayak Navigation Aid”.
