gorgeous Crete - Hike mountain trails & kayak the deep blue sea
this trip is now postponed to 2017. Please check one of our other trips to Greece for 2016.
On my last kayaking expedition to Crete I met Antonis and his family at the tiny village of Agia Roumeli. They run a lovely hotel at the southern end of the Samaria Gorge with nice rooms and home cooked food prepared fresh every day. In th evenings, villagers gather in the terrace over a coffee and Antonis plays the lute. When he told me he had small fleet of sit-on-top kayaks, Idecided this would be a great base from which to explore this stunning coast by land and sea.
The trip is suitable for all but you do need to have a reasonable level of fitness as we will walk the 16kms of the Samaria Gorge and some days we will kayak for 3 hours and a hike as well.
